LED Light Source for Stereo-Microscopy, Macro-Photography and Machine Vision
The LED Light Source can be used for fluorescence or other oblique illumination with stereo microscopes or as a spot light in machine vision systems. It can have a white or single-color chip; a wide selection of colors is available. The light source consists of LED Head and Controller. LED Head contains LED chip on a heatsink, fan and connector. A collimator, which can accommodate 25mm or 30mm excitation filters screws into it. Controller contains a constant current driver; Intensity is controlled manually with a knob, and on-off switching may be controlled by a TTL trigger signal. Emission filter holder for 2"x2" square filters is also provided. A model with integrated controller is also available.
Features and Specifications
Wavelength options: cool white, neutral white, warm white, single color - 365, 385, 395, 405, 448, 457, 460, 470, 505, 523, 567, 590, 617, 623, 660, 740, 850, 940 nm peak. More wavelengths available upon request.
Can be used for fluorescence illumination with stereo-microscopes, for macro photography, or in machine vision systems. See examples here.
Collimator has aspheric condenser lens: Ø30mm, FL 26.5mm, NA 0.522 and accommodates Ø25mm or Ø30mm excitation filters. Excitation filters are available from several manufacturers, e.g., Chroma, Semrock, Omega, MidOpt.
Emission filter holder for 2"x2" square filters. Emission filters are available from several manufacturers, e.g., Edmund Optics, Thorlabs, MidOpt.
Adjustable focus.
Manually variable intensity from zero to full.
TTL input for instant on-off switching (BNC connector).
Extra quiet fan for cooler operation, higher and more stable light output.
Requires 12V, 15V, or 24V DC power supply with barrel connector 5.5mm/2.1mm, + inside, - outside.
Can be powered by a battery and used in the field without power mains.
Electrical: 120/240V, 50/60Hz.
