Installation

1. Prepare the camera and the UDPC Adapter. |
2. Screw the male c-mount thread of the UDPC Adapter into the female c-mount thread of the camera. |
3. Insert the microscope-specific base into the trinocular head of the microscope and tighten the set screw. |
4. Insert the camera with the UDPC Adapter into the microscope-specific base. The thumbscrews should not be tightened at this stage. |
Operation
1. Align the camera roughly parallel to the stage. Align the focus of the microscope for the oculars. Hold the top part the UDPC Adapter with one hand. With another hand turn the bottom part of the UDPC Adapter by the knurled ring until the camera image is in focus. Tighten the thumbscrew on the base. Now the ocular and camera images are parfocal. |
2. Align orientation of the camera. Turn the top part of the UDPC Adapter until the camera image is parallel to the stage. This is better done with a special slide. Tighten the top thumbscrew. |
