Step 3. Unscrew the socket-head screw. Here, and in other steps hold the knob on the other side of the microscope to prevent the fine focus shaft from sliding back. |
Step 4. Remove the fine focus knob by pulling it off the shaft. |
Step 5. The wave spring will be exposed. |
Step 6. Put the provided washer on top of the wave spring washer. |
Step 7. Unscrew the set screw holding the back lid of the focus drive and open the lid. |
Step 8. Unscrew the set screw fixing the motor assembly and pull out the assembly by the flexible coupling. |
Step 9. Push the flexible coupling onto the fine focus shaft and fix it tightly with the set screw in the coupling. (Hold the knob on the other side of the microscope to prevent the fine focus shaft from sliding back) |
Step 10. Push the focus drive sleeve onto the motor assembly. |
Step 11. Fix the motor assembly in the sleeve by tightening the set screw. |
Step 12. Tighten the three set screws that squeeze the split ring around the coarse focus knob. |
Step 13. Fold the wires inside the lid and close the lid. |
Step 14. Tighten the set screw holding the lid. |
